Cruz de Piedra, Maipú
Founded in 1889, Laur was a pioneer not only in the implementation of olive trees in Mendoza but also in the olive oil industry. In 2021, it was named the number one olive oil factory in the world.
Our olive oil factory was founded by Francisco Laur, a French immigrant from the region of Loire, in the south of France. He moved to Cruz de Piedra, Maipu, in the early 1880s.
From 1996, a process of technological innovation was implemented. We incorporated modern machines to extract olive, which belong to the so-called continuous centrifugal extraction system.
In 2010, the factory was bought by the Millan family.
